Empower People
Debate Education’s mission is to empower people by making the world’s knowledge accessible to as many as possible. In doing this, awareness and understanding of people all over the world can be enhanced. At present, much knowledge is available to only a few.
With the technological revolution though, there is the potential for a knowledge explosion that can impact on so many more people and thus inspire new ideas and thoughts. Acknowledging different perspectives is key to developing empathy and finding mutually beneficial solutions to issues plaguing our societies.
Inspire a Journey
Our Master Classes have been specifically designed to inspire a journey within each individual – from self-reflection and awareness to assessing and analysing the opinions of others with respect and rigour. We challenge the view that all people have a right to their opinions by emphasizing that all people have the right to their informed opinions.
We cover the development of logically developed arguments, supported by evidence, and encourage active listening to ensure that people extend themselves beyond merely hearing passively. Overall, we aim to inspire people to embrace the power of language and speech, and in doing so, empower themselves.
Support and Assist
Our platform has been designed to support and assist all aspirant speakers and debaters on their personal journeys. There are numerous functionalities ranging from badges and points for completion of sections and activities, to detailed reporting in all courses.
To respond to the uniqueness of all individuals, we have added the functionalities of creating personal dashboards and timetables. And, if you are the type of person who needs assistance with time management, we have built in reminders, notifications and triggers for all courses.
